A soft scowl was plastered on your face as you walked across the top of a building. Your thick black boots felt heavier than they did before your fight. You had got into a small fight with a group of men who were attempting to rob a man. You jumped in just in time too. You snickered as you remembered the fight.
"Just hand over some money and we'll all be cool." A man with a black sweater and average jeans said holding his hand out to a man in a suit. He had three men with him, who were dressed like him as well, and they were holding silver knives that glinted in the little light there was. You were sitting on the fire escape of an apartment building that they were cornering the man around. You were waiting for a sign of a threat and was getting bored.
"I-I don't have any money." The man said as he leaned back, pushing his back against the wall apartment even more.
"Please, you've got a suit and a fancy briefcase, you've obviously got some cash to spare?" The man egged on. When the man in the suit didn't respond he growled and pulled out his own knife. He pulled it to the mans neck and said, "Then you must have some blood to spare." That was your cue.
"So must you." You called as you made your presence known. All the men looked at you and scowled.
"Your that lame hero that goes around town aren't you?" One of the back up men asked. You smirked and shook your head.
"No, merely a citizen doing her best to help out"
You found a nearby ladder as you finished your little nostalgia moment. You went door the ladder quickly and found your (favorite color) bike. You started peddling quickly and ignored the pain in your ribs. You thought you might have broken one after being kicked there. Your plain black long coat fluttered behind you and slowly fell as you reached your destination. You leaned your bike against the big house as you held your ribs. You slowly walked to the door and knocked softly and waited for the reply you were hoping for.
"You idiot! Why are you knocking at..." The Italian accented voice shouted from inside the house as the door was flung open.
"It's 12 at night, calm down there princess." You said as you stepped into the house, leaving a shocked Italian behind you. He was Lovino Vargas. He was your go to guy for everything.
"What the hell happened to you!?" He screeched as he noticed you holding your ribs. You pulled the hood from your head to reveal your (hair length) (hair color) hair.
"I... Walked into... a door. Yes. A door. I walked into it." You said with a poker face as you slowly sat down on the leather couch. You grunted as you finally sat down.
"Your a really bad liar." Lovino said as he walked to a nearby closet. He opened it and pulled out a small white box. "So what really happened because I know you didn't walk into a dumb door." He said as he approached you with the box. "And what's hurting?" He finished.
"Well my ribs hurt really bad, and I got into a fight with some guys." You said as you started to slowly lie down.
"And I won. And I saved the guy they were messing with." You said smiling. Lovino felt your ribs and scowled.
"I can already feel your ribs are weird." He said as he slowly pulled up your sweater and shirt to reveal your bruised stomach and outline of ribs. One of them was slightly raised than the others. "You're mostly bruised and only one rib is really messed up. You just have to take it easy for a while." He said as he pulled out a thick roll of white bandages.
"No can do." You said sternly as he started to wrap your stomach. "I got things to do." You said as he scowled even more.
"Yes can do because if you don't your ribs will start to get more injured and you'll be in bigger trouble." He said as he continued wrapping.
"I don't want to hear it. You will stay in bed rest until I say so." Lovino scolded as he finished wrapping your ribcage and cut off the bandage from the roll.
"... Hush." You said defeated. You were about to stand up when you felt a sharp pain and took a sharp intake of breath. You flopped back onto the couch and grunted as you felt more pain.
"You idiot, you can't stand up." Lovino said as he finished putting the box away. He walked back to you and put one of your arms around his neck.
"What are you doing?" You questioned as he put his other arm and put it under your knees.
"What does it look like I'm doing? I'm going to carry you to my guest room. You can't head home like that." He said as he lifted you up. You grabbed your hand that was around his neck as he began walking up his stairs and walked into a small room with plain white walls and a plain white bed. He carefully put you down and put the covers over you. "Go to sleep." He said as he began to walk away until he felt a hand grab him.
"Only if you sleep with me." You said smiling. He sighed and walked back. He went around you and lied down beside you. You snuggled into his chest and smiled. "Night."
"Night." He said as he wrapped his arms around you.
'I'm a hero to everyone else but you're my hero.'
