CanadaxReader- I'm nobody! (this is cliche but it's been stuck in my head)

"I wonder who's carrying those books?" A nearby jock snickered. Mathew sighed and continued walking down the long hallway. The jock scowled and knocked the books out of his hand. He gave a false sigh of relief and walked back to his friends who were laughing. "Those floating books were freaking me out." Mathew picked up his book, holding back tears and continued to his next class.
"Mathew Williams?" The teacher asked confused. "Does he attend this class?" She asked. The class was filled with questioning murmurs and one inaudible sigh.
"I'm back here." Mathew said as he waved his hands. The teacher squinted and looked at him.
"Are you Mathew Williams?" She asked. He nodded. "When did you start attending this class?" She asked again.
"Since the start of the year." He replied as he sighed sadly. The class continued without another thought about him.
Mathew was walking home, but decided to make a stop. He always stopped at the park and sat under a tree no one ever paid attention to. He learned no body watered it either so he cared for it himself. He sat at the trunk of the strong tree and gave a soft sigh.
"Hey old man." He said chuckling softly as he patted the tree behind him. "Well, today I was forgotten in class again. And the same jock knocked the books out of my hands. I hate jocks. Well, that's mean. I just hate that one particular jock is all. He's just so mean to me. All the others ignore me, why can't he?" He asked rhetorically.
"Probably because he's an attention seeker." Mathew heard in his right ear. He turned swiftly and was met with a girl about his age with (hair length) (hair color) hair and bright (eye color) eyes that matched her bright smile. "Hi Mathew." You said as you waved your hand at him.
"H-How do you know my name?" He asked shocked anyone remembered him in general. His own brother forgot him often!
"We go to the same school and have almost all the same classes." You explained shrugging.
"But... How come I've never seen you?" He asked.
"Because I haven't wanted you to see me until now!" You explained giggling.
"I don't get it." He whispered.
"My plan is to stay invisible and only let people see me if I want them to see me, which isn't often. I noticed you since high school started, but I never let you notice me." You said simply.
"Why?"
"I don't know. life's easier that way don't ya think?" You asked. He tilted his head in confusion. "I think your lucky though," You continued. "I would give just about anything to have people not notice me." You chuckled. "I know your name but you don't know mine right?" You asked. Mathew nodded his head and you smiled. "Good."
"Can you tell me your name?" He asked.
"If I tell you will you keep it a secret?" You asked jokingly. Mathew laughed and nodded.
"I'm (name) (last name)." You said as you stuck out your hand. Mathew shook it and smiled.
"Nice to meet you." He said laughing.
"Oh, and if anyone asks, I'm nobody." You said as you stood up and dusted off your pants. "I'll see you at school and I'll let you see me!" You said as you winked and ran off. Mathew smiled and stood up.
"Maybe we can be nobody together."
